Oceans of forsaken dreams,
Sniggered at, and palely shy,
Slipping from that tissue texture
We remember by,
Withdraw into a darker world
Where airy hues solidify,
And only deign to reappear,
Proud and bright and free of fear,
In systems of contagions clear,
Or uttering a final sigh.
